To print out the stencils in a size that would fit the side of the blaster, like the N-64 stencil you see on the blaster I painted, you will size the image to 50%.
To print out the stencils in a size that would fit the stock, like the flame stencil you see on the blaster I painted, you will size the image to 30%.
With the smaller sizes, you may find some of the stencils to be difficult to cut out. You will also find that some of the flames are easier to cut than others.
I would recommend starting off with one of the easier ones if you want to use a small stencil on your blaster.
Just remember, larger sizes will be much easier to cut out.
50% is the largest I would recommend you scale it to. It will fit most larger side spots on your blaster. You should try cutting out one of the 50% flames first.
Here are the sizes from 50% to the smallest recommended size:
- 50% will be about 1.25 inch in height (for the larger sides, like main body)
- 40% will be about 1 inch in height
- 30% wil be about .75 inch in height (for smaller parts, like stock)
- 20% will be about .50 inch in height
To determine the best stencil size for your blaster, you can take a ruler and measure the area you want to put a stencil on. Then reference the list here to determine the best size to scale the whole image to.
When you are ready to print, follow the steps below.
